Dear all valued volunteers,
In view of the recent H1N1, there is a need for us to take precautions in view of your safety. These are important in helping to curb the spread and requirements by the school for students’ activities to continue.
Hence, I seek your help and understanding to enforce the following:
Before visit
Procedures
- Volunteers are to measure their temperature and fill in a declaration form before any RVP visit
- The soft copy of the form is as attached.
- Please file up these forms for record purposes.
Do ask your volunteers to avoid going for visit if:
1. They have travelled to or returned from any affected country
2. They have been in close contact with anyone affected by H1N1
3. They have visited any of the local H1N1 clusters
4. They have flu-like symptoms (runny nose, fever, sore throat, fever)
5. They are feeling unwell
List of affected countries / local H1N1 clusters at can be found at www.moh.gov. sg
(Might be a good idea to have a printed copy so that you can let volunteers know what the affected areas are)
During visit
Measurement of temperature
- As mentioned during the H1N1 talk, there is a need to measure temperature before any students’ activity
- Hence, please ask your volunteers to bring their thermometers and measure their own temperature before the start of any visit.
- For volunteers with temperature above 37..4 degrees, ask them to rest at one corner first, and re-measure their temperature 15 minutes later. If the temperature persists, nicely ask them to rest at home and seek medical advice.
